I was told my occasional skipped heart beats ( harmless PVCs) were part of getting older and drinking caffeine. "I've had them for years" older people would tell me. When the doctor told me I was very deficient in vitamin D and put me on a high dose to get back to normal, my PVCs went away. Hmmm. Makes sense. Vitamin D is not really a vitamin but a hormone that your body makes from sunlight. We don't get enough here in the northwest. It is also tied in with calcium, one of the main components your heart uses for signaling. Even if you work outside every day, you won't build up enough in the summer to last through the rest of the year. USRDA is 400 iu a day. toxic levels come from 50,000 iu a day for over a month. So I do 5,000 iu a day during the winter, drop it to 2,000 iu in the summer. Next time you go for your physical, have your doctor check your D levels. It does so much in your body and is so important for good health.

Seizures for a child during a fever are not uncommon. Their body does it to somehow lower the temperature. So if he's prone to them, no surprise that they increased during his fever. But I think you're right, something is letting his brain rest, which is reversing the spiral of seizures. Keeping fingers crossed that they don't come back.Fireman Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09109305746330987730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8633534701037149232.post-62351994350588187072011-01-07T08:39:25.008-08:002011-01-07T08:39:25.008-08:00What a fabulous way to start the new year!
